Those of you who know me and my work know that I have dedicated all my writings, poems, rhymes to the uplift of our people through revolutionary consciousness. As we know, words without actions are dead, and I have long said and taught that if your only contribution to the revolution is words, then you are not a revolutionary!! It is action, direct action, grassroots action, community action that is the ultimate tool of liberation. To that end, I have been active as a community organizer and activist since my teens. Today, with the release of my project “The Lost Prophecies” I want to provide the people with a practical, applicable, tangible example of how we can have an impact.

I don’t believe in fans. Those who have appreciated my work, music and poetry over the years I consider to be supporters. The term "fans" connotes a celebrity-worship factor that to me only applies to teenie-bopper idols and commercialized mainstream pop icons. I am simply your brother from another mother, from around the corner around the way, different hood same oppression.

In addition to this, I have several associates who are working in Africa with irrigation and building schools, this is the second option. If enough money is raised we can do a combination of several options and I am also open to suggestions of worthy causes.

Once 1,000 copies of “The Lost Prophecies” is sold I will take a public vote on all suggestions and we will move from there.
I am doing this as a small example of what we can do together. 1,000 CDs is a small amount, imagine if I was moving units like lil Wayne or Ludacris or TI or Jeezy or Jigga or 50 or whoever… what is the impact we could have if we were willing to use a portion of our proceeds and profit for the benefit of our people??? Imagine if Puffy and Russell and Jigga and 50 simply just did what good believers of white jesus do every Sunday and “tithed” 10% of their income into endeavors for the benefit of our people?!?!

Remember just like no romance without no finance…
