The New Princess of Hip-Hop and R&B Music
Live and Direct from Poughkeepsie, New York comes a dynamic young singer/songwriter poised to take the world by storm. Her name is Ms. Quandesha Johnson.
QUANDESHA began singing in the third grade to entertain her fellow classmates. Over the years her love of singing led to writing songs through which she could release her emotions. “I like that I can get my emotions out through singing if I can’t do it in words, I can write songs about so many things.”
Over the years QUANDESHA honed her performing and singing skills by appearing in numerous talent shows at various venues.
In early 2008 QUANDESHA met the Producer STOKES who also hails from Poughkeepsie. They began working on songs such as the smooth mid-tempo “StreetLove”, the beautiful ballad “I Miss You” and the rugged Hip-Hop tinged “Shake Ya Body” and “Doe Boy.”
Later during the year QUANDESHA recorded a Promo based on DESTINY’s CHILD “Say My Name” for the Legendary Kool DJ Red Alert’s 25th Anniversary on the Radio. DJ Red Alert is recognized and respected worldwide as one of the Founding Fathers of Hip-Hop Music and Culture. In the past such Platinum artist’s as FAT JOE garnered Major Label Record Deals due to the exposure their Promos gained from Red’s World Famous Mix Radio Show.
In August 2008, DJ Red Alert began playing the promo each week at the beginning of his 98.7 Kiss FM Mix Radio Show which has a 2.5 Million Listening Audience in the New York City Tri-State area. The Promo has received an overwhelming positive response from listeners prompting Red to invite QUANDESHA to sing live on the radio. Subsequently, QUANDESHA sang live on DJ Red Alert’s 98.7 Kiss FM Radio Show twice to rave review!
For the future, QUANDESHA most humbly looks forward to the day her music can be heard worldwide as does her musical influences MARIAH CAREY and BEYONCE.

50MICS Objective is to pick the best-unsigned talent from 5 different musical genres and blend the artists together to make albums of epic proportions.
We felt that many talented artist fall between the cracks simply because they are unable to afford many of the various avenues of exposure which exist in today. In many cases real creative people tend to have limited resources and therefore are unable to compete in an over saturated music business.
We felt it was time to level the playing field.
