- Every once and a while, a special force comes along to grace the music world with something fresh and innovative. Western New York rapper/producer L.D.M. has committed to being just that. Spend ten minutes around him and you'll be moved by the creative energy that pours from him at all times. As a young boy he was introduced to Hip Hop by his uncles, who lived the hip hop culture,taking part in everything from break dancing to deejaying. He sites Hip Hop greats Run-DMC, Eric B & Rakim and Slick Rick as some of the early influences that he can remember. By the time he reached his teenage years LDM began working in the studio, rhyming and producing for other up and coming artists in his area. He also began to live on the opposite side of the law, something that eventually led to him spending a short stint behind bars. After being released from incarceration, L.D.M decided that it was time for a change. “ I made the decision to give music my undivided attention” says LDM, who is also Co-CEO of Masterpiece Music Group with R&B singer/songwriter Beka. “ There's no better time than now to create your own lane, so I'm going for it. ” He brings an equally high level of optimism to all of his ventures. Recently LDM has hard at work on his upcoming album entitled “Leader of Da Movement”. He can be heard on the bass heavy single “Kick Drum”and also on a number of collaborations with Beka and Empyre Streetz Network.
