LAW 27 was formed under the pretense of change. Real L.I.F.E and DJ Reef came together through very similar circumstances. Both had a vision of true hip hop and an unsettling feeling about where the genre was headed. So, instead of burying those unsettling feelings, they decided to do something about it! Real L.I.F.E (lead MC) has mastered his art, which is the love of hip hop with a soul feel to it. He conveys messages about life, love, happiness, despair, parenthood and the essence of music as a lifestyle. Those lyrical images combined with DJ Reef's amazing ability to capture Real L.I.F.E's moods thru old school samples or hard driving street beats, is the formula that has helped this pair reach their goal of giving the people something to believe, in the absence of quality hip hop.

Being able to cover the entire spectrum of hip hop / soul is what separates LAW 27 from any other artists in the game today. The album has such an array of masterpieces that it is hard to categorize them. One moment you may be thinking that Real L.I.F.E must know you personally, the way he is illustrating his point about struggling through this financial crisis.
